I broke my own travel rule... and I have zero regrets. On my second night in Florida, we had dinner at Columbia Restaurant in Celebration—part of Florida’s oldest restaurant chain, founded back in 1905. I normally avoid chains when I travel, but this historic gem was absolutely worth the exception. From the moment we stepped inside, the Spanish-style ambiance transported us. The tapas were rich with flavor and authenticity, and the table-side bubbly sangria pitcher? Pure magic. The town of Celebration already feels like a charming little storybook, and Columbia fits right in with its old-world elegance and warm hospitality. If you’re anywhere near Celebration, FL, make this a stop. It’s a vibe, a bite, and a memory all wrapped in one. Columbia in Celebration is a great spot for a date night or with friends. Fun bar, beautiful indoor seating with character, and easy outdoor seating as well. They’ve got a few Florida locations and have been around for a long time. Definitely try: mojito pitcher, sangria, 1905 salad, 1905 black beans, empanadas, and anything else you can get your hands on. Delicious food and great atmosphere in Celebration Town Center! :)

Great menu and all dishes I have tried here are excellent. Always enjoy the special salad prepared tableside. Thoroughly enjoyed the Picadillo Criollo. Others enjoyed their chicken and rice or fish dishes. Enjoyed excellent desserts as well. If weather permits, the outdoor patio is enjoyable. The interior is beautifully appointed as well. Freah hot individual bread and butter is served. Service was attentive and professional. Good bar service.

The Columbia is an awesome restaurant to visit for delicious tapas, sandwiches, entrees, dessert, amazing drinks... All so good! Our favorites this trip included the Cubano, the 1904 salad (the absolute BEST salad and they prepare it table side), the Cuban bread, and a pitcher of table-side prepared Mojitos - absolutely spectacular! The patio was amazing with high ceiling fans to keep you cool, the view of the lake was so enjoyable, the music was festive, and the service was very good. Please visit Columbia Restaurant, you will love it!

This historic gem truly lives up to its reputation. As one of the oldest Spanish restaurants in the country, Columbia offers more than just food it’s a cultural experience. I ordered the eggplant entree, and it was phenomenal tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Paired it with the black beans, tomatoes, and rice, which were hearty, rich, and comforting. You can taste the tradition in every bite. The ambiance is charming and elegant, with beautiful Spanish tile work and old-world vibes that transport you back in time. Service was attentive and warm from start to finish. If you’re in St. Augustine, Columbia is a must-visit whether you’re a foodie or just want to experience a true taste of Spanish heritage. 5 stars — classic, flavorful, and unforgettable!

Last month my daughter got married much earlier than expected due to a military relocation. We were able to arrange the reception at the Columbia and we were extremely happy! Every single step was handled with the utmost care and professionalism, from the party size to the delicious food recommendations to the personalized service of the wait staff. I was truly blown away and they made the whole process so easy. If I could give 10 stars I would!
